The Power Aerialist is an astonishingly gifted aerial artist. She choreographed and performed a tour-de-force acrobatic aerial dance in response to the dramatic abstract expressionist paintings by Melissa Wraxall and the Rimsky-Korsakov symphony ‘Scheherazade’. The audience were spellbound and enchanted as the paintings came to life through Becky’s inspired storytelling and professional mastery of aerial dance. Her costume and make-up recalled the iconic beauty of Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, with vivid arabesque swirls of colour catching the light. For all who were lucky enough to be present it was a sensitive, emotional and truly cathartic performance. We look forward to welcoming her back to Pound Arts later this year.
