Jeremy James
Laura T booked Jeremy James for their event
Jeremy played at The Unsung Hero Awards 2018 on Friday the 23rd of February to an impressed audience. He was not only a great musician, who I had total faith in, but a very friendly and easy person to work with. He communicated with me leading up to the event and on the night itself he was prompt and set-up quickly. Jeremy played not only his two allocated sets, but extra songs when we had projector issues - it was not an issue for him! As soon as Jeremy started to play the room took on a new feel; warmer and more intimate. The MC of the night was so surprised to hear Jeremy sing that he mistook his voice for a recording - he is that professional sounding. My personal highlight of the night had to be when Jeremy was playing Hey Jude. He had the audience singling along and waving their arms in the air. He made sure to interact with the audience in a way that was personal, but not distracting. Jeremy uses his talent to make people feel at ease and doesn't overly-focus on himself - a rare quality in a person, as well as a performer. Jeremy made sure to inform us when he was leaving and I had a lovely chat with him post-performance. He thanked myself and my colleague for being equally easy to work with and gave up tips on what sorts of musical accompaniments would work well in the future. Would we hire Jeremy again? In a heartbeat. Only next time we hope to be able to have some of those musical accompaniments to enhance what was already a stellar performance, which made our event feel that little bit extra fantastic!
