Review of Dexter

Dexter played at our wedding reception in July 2010 and were just brilliant. The professional way they set up without disturbing any of the guests and checked arrangements, making suggestions where needed to keep the evening running smoothly was really appreciated. As for the band itself, they made everyone's evening. We had requested a cover of 'Stand By Me', for our first dance and Dexter played a great version of it - we were so pleased that a song not on their usual set list sounded so good, and it really helped make a special moment for us. We had worried slightly that with the combination of guests we had invited that the dancefloor might remain a little empty, but Dexter packed it out! Everyone from 10 year-olds to to 80 year-olds was dancing away at some point, and the atmosphere really was exceptional. Some personal touches like requests for songs we liked, and a bit of banter with the crowd added to the feeling that we got more than we paid for. We can't say enough good things about how much the band contributed to the evening, everyone really enjoyed them and a few said they were thinking of booking them for their own weddings!
