Don't miss the chance to see entertainer The Voice of Tom Jones next time he appears at a venue near you. The Voice of Tom Jones is no small-time pub performer and provides a full show which will leave you breathless. He travels the country bringing his Tom Jones and Neil Diamond tribute act to clubs, cruises and concert arenas. Believe me, this is no ordinary tribute show. It's like a 'Stars In Your Eyes' special as The Voice of Tom Jones literally transforms before your eyes into the two artists. At the Southgate Club he started as Tom Jones pumping out hits like 'Kiss', 'The Green Green Grass Of Home' and 'She's A Lady'. Mr Scott has the advantage of not only sounding like the Welsh wizard but looking like him too (he has done lookalike jobs as the Welsh crooner). He treated the large audience to the more soulful side of Tom with songs like 'Ladies' Night' and Wilson Pickett's 'Land Of 1000 Dances' and the big emotional ballads -- 'I Who Have Nothing', 'Till' and 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again'. Vocally he was magnificent and he has obviously worked really hard to get the voice and mannerisms just right. After 45 minutes Tom was gone. Twenty minutes later he was back, complete with new wig, and quickly morphing into the Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter Neil Diamond. It was hard to believe this was the same guy who had appeared in the first half. Yet again The Voice of Tom Jones recreated Neil's voice to perfection, starting with the epic 'America' and including Diamond classics like 'I'm A Believer', 'I Am I Said', 'Cracklin' Rosie', 'Solitary Man', 'Red Red Wine' and, inevitably, 'Sweet Caroline', which had the audience singing loudly. The Voice of Tom Jones tackled also the recent Neil Diamond composition 'Pretty Amazing Grace' (which he hadn't rehearsed very often) and made a cracking job of it. Apparently The Voice of Tom Jones was made redundant from his computer job 16 years ago and he became a professional singer. His audiences must be delighted he made that choice.
