Auditions for our Artist Management & Development Programme

Alive Network's Artist Management & Development Programme is only offered to artists who are most in demand by our client base. Learn more about Artist Management & Development Programme here.

Our current recruitment priorities for the Artist Management & Development Programme are bands who fit the following description:

  • 3/4/5 members in a guitar-based rock and pop function band.
  • Average age of members, 22-40.
  • Repertoire spanning 60's classics by The Beatles and The Stones through to modern indie/pop/rock with a strong leaning towards contemporary artists.
  • They are less like 'function bands' and more like original bands in terms of style and performance.

Audition FAQs

Open auditions are help throughout the year at a venue close to the Alive Network HQ in Staffordshire, West Midlands. Venue details will be provided once you have been accepted onto an audition.

We'd rather you didn't as there's always another artist who probably would have come in your place, but in case of emergency, we will do our best to reschedule.

We usually ask artists to perform for around 30 minutes although you will need to take into account setup time, sound check time if you're a band, 15-20 minutes for a meet and greet and quick tour of the offices and recording studio. We usually ask that you arrive at Alive Network HQ at 2pm and expect to be leaving at around 4.30pm.

You will need to bring whatever you would usually use at an event, apart from the PA and monitors, lights and microphones. If you are a band, you will need to bring instruments, backline and drums (including breakables). It's a good opportunity for us to see the quality of your equipment so we can make any recommendations if we think anything's not up to scratch!

Ideally, we would like to hear a snapshot of your repetoire, so a couple of older 'classic' tracks as well as a handful of modern contemporary songs. If you want to run your planned audition set list by us beforehand, we'd be happy to make any suggestions.

No. All applications are pre-vetted before an audition slot is offered. We will only invite artists to audition if we think it will be of benefit to both us and the artist. There are some artists who don't need to audition to be able to offered a place on the roster and there are other whose applications may not meet the standards of quality we require.

We endeavour to reply to all applications within 7 days of receipt.

We will give you brief feedback on your performance straight away at the end of your audition but our final decision, and more thorough feedback, will be provided a few days later along with a video of your performance for reference.

Ideally, we would like to see what you would plan to wear when performing at an event. That way we can very quickly give you feedback as to whether we think you've pitched it right or not!

Only musicians and entertainers who are resident in the UK can apply.

Yes, however, you need to consider whether you will be able to audition during weekdays during the day time. Our auditions are held on weekdays in the afternoons.
