“Steve and Owen (The Hertford Boys) completely exceeded our expectations. They learnt a first dance song for us at short notice (six days!), which was executed superbly. Any reservations we had about guests not dancing were completely blown away. As soon as the first chord was struck, people flocked to the dance floor and did not stop until the end of the night. Their mix of songs was superb and appealled to everyone of all ages. We received a huge number of compliments about the band and many people including the venue, requested their details who stated that they were one of the best bands that they had ever heard. Steve and Owen really made the wedding a success and a day to rememeber, not only for us, but for all our guests!!”

“I contacted Alivenetwork.com after being let down by my previous booking for our wedding entertainment. From the very beginning Clare at Alive Network could not have been more helpful, and took time to recommend artists that matched our requirements, our event, our venue and our budget. After reading the biographies and reviews for the artists we were delighted to book Steve Young. The booking process was very simple and gave us complete peace of mind. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alive Network and would definitely use them again. On the day, Steve was absolutely fantastic! He arrived on time, was well presented and professional, and is without question a brilliant musician and singer. Our guests were completely in awe of Steve and were mesmerised by his performances. Everybody is still talking about him now! He played the mood perfectly all evening, and included all the songs we asked him to sing. Steve exceeded our expectations and gave us all a night, and wedding, to remember! One word Steve – AMAZING!”

I had previously booked another singer who had came down ill 2 days before our wedding, then Alive Network gave me the option of Steve Young who superberly put on one of the best nights ever. All my guests really enjoyed him and his music and still now say how good he was and how it was refreshing from just having a disco there all night. I/we would most definatly hire him again and again much thanks to Steve and Gemma who worked wonders for us to have the day/night we wanted! ”

“Brilliant service, Clare dealt with all of my 'novice' concerns quickly and politely. I booked Steve Young for our wedding who was without a doubt 'perfect'. From my initial booking I was relaxed that everything would be taken care of. Steve contacted me 2 weeks prior to the wedding, asked what our first dance was and went off and learnt it (Johnny Cash 'Thing called love')! On the day, he introduced himself, set up and played the crowd perfectly. I was worried that people wouldn't dance as Steve initially allowed guests to mingle and chat, then, it was like he flicked a switch, as all of a sudden every single guest was bopping away and singing on the dance floor right up to 1am!! Steve, I'm sorry that we broke your tambourine, but as you said, it was a casualty of a great night! I've had nothing but compliments from all our friends and family since. Thanks to Steve and everyone at Alive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alive or Steve Young in the future, if your thinking about it, just do it, you wont regret it (as long as Steve has got a new tambourine of course)!! “Steve Young did exactly what he promised to do. As a result we received many comments about how good he was and what a novel idea for an acoustic guitarist to play during our wedding breakfast. He was a lovely man and packed the set with favourites. Alive Network (esp. Clare Kimble) were brilliant and very helpful. I am a very happy customer. ”
