“The Gypsy Rogues were amazing! We asked them to do one folky set early on, then two ceilidh sets (3 x 40min) and they were brilliant at both. Everyone, from my gran to the little toddler who danced all through the first set, loved them. David, the caller, got exactly the right balance when giving the instructions for the ceilidh – they were clear but also really funny and put everyone in a good mood. Lots of people said they were the best bit of the wedding, including our friends and family (it’s not easy to please everyone but they did)! When I chatted to them at the end of the night, they were really friendly, nice people. I would highly recommend them to anyone organising an event for any age group. ”

“Gypsy Rogues were an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding. They were so friendly, fun and flexible and didn’t grumble at all even though we were running an hour late! The Ceilidh they provided was fantastic and got all our guests on our very small dance floor. David was a brilliant caller and pitched the level of complexity perfectly. Although we paid more for our band that we had originally budgeted for it really was worth every penny. We have had comments from nearly all of our guests, young and old about how good they were and how much they enjoyed either just listening to their music or dancing. We would definitely book them again but in a much bigger venue so we can really go for it with the spinning! We would recommend them to anyone, for any event! “Hi Rebecca, I just wanted to send a message to you regarding our party on Saturday, where the Gypsy Rogues played. We all had a most marvelous evening, celebrating our 60th birthdays with all our friends. The Gypsy Rogues were very much instrumental in making such a wonderful evening. They are truly wonderful musicians, and one of my friends, who is Irish, commented that they were the best Ceilidh band he had EVER seen. Their modern style to old favourites was absolutely amazing. One of our guests was in tears listening to "Lord of the dance" her favourite piece of music. The atmosphere they generated was truly exceptional and it exceeded my expectations. Everyone had a great party, some even said it was the best party they had ever been to! “We booked Gypsy Rogues through Alive Network after finding the site on Google. Gemma the Entertainment Coordinator was really helpful, I asked if I could have any CD’s the band might have made so I could listen to them before I made my final decision, the CD’s arrived in the post the next day! The booking was so simple and the communication was second to none all the way through. Gypsy Rogues arrived on time and set up, we asked if they could do 3 x40 min sets rather than 2x1 hours sets and that was no problem. The band really entertained the guests, they had them up doing the Irish set dancing and all night long we had comments on how good the band was. I would just like to thank Dave and the rest of the band for a really great evening, the music was great and the playlist had something for every body! ”

“Gypsy Rogues were an excellent addition to our wedding. They were professional and very flexible which is important at a wedding as things do not always run to time. They provided a great atmosphere for the whole evening and several people commented on how fun they were. The music they played was of an excellent standard and they got everyone up and dancing for the ceildh songs, whilst many people also danced when they were playing their "background" music. They did everything we asked them to do for the DJ set and they music was absolutely perfect for us- a good mixture of everything we suggested put together really well. Overall the band really made the night for us, several people who profess never to dance were on the dance floor and by the end of the night, people were protesting when the DJ set had to finish.”
