“Mathew is warm hearted with an easy smile, he is an approachable young man, he played lots of requests, friends felt involved and the sound of the pipes touched us all. Mathew is tall can could be seen as well as heard. His Scottish traditional outfit is very smart and he happily talked about his heritage. His participation made the day very special.”

“Communication with Matthew was excellent in giving confidence for the day ahead. I wondered how the day would go due to Covid restrictions but Matthew’s piping just gave my father the best ‘send off’ he could have wished for. There are no words to describe how moving it was as my father had a guard of honour at the crematorium gates and with the bagpipes playing - it was like a state funeral. Matthew made sure he was on time for the event and he played the tunes I wanted. He has a repertoire fit for any occasion and I can not thank him enough for making my fathers funeral perfect in how he would have wanted it. Matthews piping was so moving, it was the ‘icing on the cake’ with a cherry on top! He even played ‘Major Bobby’ in honour of my Dad. I would recommend him 100% - A+++++ Thank you Matthew for wearing all the Regalia and giving my father the funeral he deserved.”

“Matthew was fantastic from start to finish and all of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed his performance! My husband is Scottish and all of his family flew down to Essex for our big day. It made such a difference having a bit of Scottish tradition at the wedding and it brought everyone together. Matthew was a great sport, even partaking in the tradition of having a 'nip' of whiskey after piping us in to our dinner. Can't recommend him highly enough!”

“We booked Britain’s South East Bagpiper to provide music for our graduation ceremony. He played for a short time outside the venue before the event and although it was chilly, he played well and didn’t complain about the cold. Later, he led our academic procession in and out of the graduation ceremony. We had some very specific requirements and he carried them all out beautifully. His standard of performance was very high. His pipes were nicely in tune and sounded much better than other bagpipers I have heard. His contribution made a big impact at our event and lots of people have made positive comments about his playing. I have recommended him to other colleagues already and expect I will probably book him for other events in the future.”
