“Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks were superb from start to finish, getting everyone up dancing and playing classic songs all the way through their set catering for all ages. They’re a talented band and very professional, I got a call 2 weeks prior to the Wedding to get asked our preference of songs etc. to make sure we were getting the set we wanted, it’s the little things that can make all the difference. I highly recommend this band for any event. Andy. ”

“The Alive co-ordinator Clare was fantastic from start to end. She took the stress out of a very hard last minute booking for a very big party. The band arrived on time and were very professional to work with through the whole night. They looked and sounded the part. We had over 700 guests from all different ages who were all very happily entertained with the medlay of old and new classics. Great night! Great entertainment! Would highly recommend. ”

“What a FANTASTIC Band !!!!! I would recommend them to anyone who wants a jolly good PARTY!!! Not only were Mitch and the guys polite, easy going, happy and reassuring (For a Bride!) ... their music had bags of charisma, attitude and energy. It is IMPOSSIBLE to not get up and dance, even my Dad who is not a show man in any way was up having the time of his life. We chose the Ska/ Rock n Roll set (with some Reggae thrown in, ode to our Wedding in Florida) and every single song was a classic everyone knew. FANTASTIC value for money (We paid a little extra for 12pm- 1 am set which I'd recommend) LOVELY GUYS, accommodating to all of our needs or concerns, no matter how small. NOT CHEESY IN THE SLIGHTST (I am 26 years old and a trained actor/musician so I am very particular about "second rate" and "cringe worthy" acts! This band is neither of those things) All our friends and family said best part of our Wedding reception was the band!”

“Fantastic, the Alive Network site is so easy to use and the staff are very helpful. Blue Note Mitch and The Red Hot Jacks exceeded our expectations, they were able to tailor their sets to suit the audience during the night. They had everyone on the dance floor, from the youngest to the oldest. We asked them to fit in as part of the family and they did, all of our guests got on really well with them and have not stopped talking about them since. One couple are looking to book them for next year for their wedding! Great!”

“Unable to find the band we wanted locally we searched online for a swing, jive and jazz band. Three of us were searching and all three of us, independent of each other, returned with the impressive write-up for Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks. We needed a band that would play to a diverse audience, a community event to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, everyone was invited. This band promised a wide range of materials Jazz, Swing, Jive also Rock'n'roll, Soul and Ska. We wanted everything which was a tall ask. Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks did not disappoint. They played their hearts out and the crowd responded. The rhythm section was tight, the percussionist was superb, the pianist was mesmerising and Mitch himself is a fantastic performer. They promised much and at no time did they ever seem out of their depth. They were able to gauge the crowd and deliver what the audience wanted. We started slow with the dulcet tones of the golden jazz classics, tossed in a bit of swing and jive and in no time at all the hall was jumping. Mitch owned the stage, a born performer, his beautiful voice sounded like it was made for jazz. Then come the second half we were busting our moves to the Beatles, Elvis, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Queen and again Mitch was in his element, his audience enchanted. Finally, with such a talented saxophonist who could resist a touch of Madness? This band held the crowd in the palm of it's hand, everyone was on the floor and we loved it. Do not delay, this is an excellent band book them now you will not regret it.”

“One of the hardest things for two music lovers was choosing a band for our wedding, but with Blue Note Mitch and The Red Hot Jacks we hit the jackpot! From the planning stage Mitch was a great source of guidance and open to suggestions and then to the night itself they were all brilliant, friendly and professional. The whole wedding party was on their feet as soon as they started and they played with energy and passion. We couldn't have asked for a better song list and would recommend adding the sax into the mix as it gave such a great sound. We chose a Toots song for our first dance and it was was perfect and brilliantly done. If you want a great vibe that lasts long into the night, with a sprinkling of fun you should chose this band. “A huge thank you to Blue Note Mitch & The Red Hot Jacks for their fantastic entertainment at our Staff Christmas Party. The band were approachable and easy to talk to and set themselves up in no time, when we were ready to party the band played a great selection of songs from modern day pop to the old school swing! Everyone was on their feet singing along and busting their moves. We were even treated to a couple of extra songs as no one wanted the band to stop!
