Piano accompaniment for a silent movie

“Alan kindly stepped in at the last minute to provide piano accompaniment for a silent film screening at a Conference. Despite the lack of preparation time, Alan used his knowledge and understanding to create an ideal soundtrack, incorporating appropriate themes and a traditional silent film score. It was a hugely successful event and in no small part to the performance of Alan.”

“What a find Alan is, he is polite, well dressed and above all talented. With the exception of one request from us we left him to play his choice of music based on the room and he did a fantastic job. Music was balanced, entertaining and never over powered the conversation. Alan even managed to find time to play some queen tunes at the end of the evening for a guest who used to be a Freddie tribute singer. We had traditional carols and Christmas tunes, some classical pieces as well as some bluesy numbers - all delivered with flawless precision. I loved the impro inserts when you segued from one piece to the next. The attitude of performers is so important on occasions like ours, and you got it just right - friendly and accommodating, just as happy to be in the background as you were to be up front.
