Really created the atmosphere I was hoping for

“The right atmosphere was so important at our Tepee party. So much thought and effort had gone into the night from the pagan story teller to the life sized animatronic polar bear. We couldn’t of hoped for a better folk duo. Colette and Micheal completely understood the evening and were so relaxed and happy to sit under the stars next to the fire. Playing tune after tune. That really created the atmosphere I was hoping for. Even stepping in to fill the time when the drummer got lost on his way here and also very happy to play a few carols at the end where 80 of us sang along. We will definitely request them again as not only were they talented musicians but really lovely people!”

“Colette is a truly talented musician who has mastered the accordion. This was clear not only from the beautiful versions of tunes which she played with Carlene the violinist who was also exceptional, but also that she did not restrict our choice, made further suggestions of music which lends itself to accordion/violin based on the kinds of music we like and learnt a new tune especially for our wedding. In short, this allowed us to have set lists which really reflected our taste and included tunes personal to us and all played excellently. Colette and her violinist are professionals who were equally adept at producing a lovely relaxed atmosphere for our drinks reception and creating a set full of energy for our evening dancing. “Everyone commented on how amazing the band were and how great it was to have such an energetic caller and such skilled musicians. We had a fantastic time and the whole day was enhanced by the band and the ceilidh. Everyone was up and dancing immediately and right through the night. The band were more than willing to play requests, even playing a song for the bridesmaid to sing along to. Their music also provided a wonderful first dance. We cannot recommend them enough.”

With an Irish family and friends who love Irish music, we were keen to have a blend of popular folk songs and more instrumental tunes to encourage dancing... The band were fantastic - superb musicians, friendly and engaging and open to music requests. The audience, from 7 months to 70, loved the set. “We were delighted with our choice of Cailin and her band for our recent charity céilí in central London. Their energetic caller was amazing in the number of dances she knew and the ability she had to persuade the crowd to get on their feet and dance. The music was exactly what we were looking for, the musicians very accomplished and always ready to take suggestions, and they played a mix of old favourites and some new dances to ensure that novices and experienced céilí goers had great fun. “I just to say on behalf of myself and my family, thank you for making a very hard day a little easier. Everyone who I spoke to after the service yesterday commented on what a difference you made. We really can't thank you enough, The Galway Shawl was fantastic. On behalf of my Father, a big thank you. He really would of looked down and loved it. If I ever need a accordian again, I'll know where to come. (Think i might have started a trend) You may visit Rochester a few more times over the next few years. Many thanks again!”
