The Kings Waits

The Kings Waits play on a wide range of fascinating instruments from a selection of 40 including the Lute Crumhorn Flute, Racket, Shawm, Psaltery, and of course the Nakers - it is a double drum, honest ! The picture below shows the full range.

Based in the beautiful Medieval city of Norwich, Tony and Jane form the core of The Kings Waits providing anything from background music to a full evening's entertainment.

Over the years they have found themselves performing at very wide variety of venues, with events ranging from a supper for 10 to a banquet for 300. Every event is different and the idea behind The Kings Waits is to provide a very flexible entertainment package.

From castle to country house, hotel to marquee, medieval banquets have proved to be an ever popular way to enjoy a great meal with a difference. Entering the banqueting hall, decked out with shields and flowing banners, it's long tables set out with candle and finery, there can be no question that all are set to have a goodly time.

A wedding reception with a Medieval or Elizabethan theme is the perfect way to celebrate the event with just the right balance of grace and informality. The Kings Waits have performed at many of these happy occasions and they have always found them to be great fun, avoiding some of the 'stuffiness' that can come with a conventional reception. They can also provide music and song for the marriage service. If you are getting married in one of the countries beautiful medieval churches we will recreate the atmosphere of times past providing a spectacle that every one will remember.

A medieval feast at the end of a long conference session is the ideal way to let your hair down and really get to know your colleagues. The Kings Waits will provide an evening's music and entertainment.
