Velvet Jazz Duo is an exceptional jazz duo featuring vocalist Niki and guitarist Jack. Based in Liverpool, Niki is a seasoned jazz singer known for her velvety vocals and ability to create captivating atmospheres. With extensive experience in both local and international performing arts, she also works as a singer-songwriter and producer under her solo project, Niki Kand, while writing and recording for other artists.
Jack, a skilled jazz guitarist and University of Liverpool graduate, brings a refined touch to every performance. In addition to playing live, he teaches guitar and releases music under Monkey Paw, earning recognition for his tasteful jazz arrangements and artistry.
With over 15 years of combined experience, Velvet Jazz Duo has been featured on BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 6 Music, and BBC Radio 1, and has performed at major events including LIMF Festival, Sound City, and the BBC Introducing Live Lounge at the Cavern Club. Their extensive repertoire spans jazz, classic pop, and soul from the past 60 years, making them a perfect choice for weddings, corporate events, and intimate jazz nights.
