Introducing The Male Patterns
We’re a high-energy, full-time professional wedding and function band based in Shropshire. Made up of two lifelong best mates, we put an upbeat acoustic spin on the biggest hits from the past few decades!
Our Story
The Male Patterns officially formed in early 2017, but our musical journey spans over 15 years of performing together in various bands and projects. That history fuels the chemistry and passion we bring to every stage.
Big Sound, Small Band
Don’t let our size fool you—we may be a duo, but we deliver the sound and energy of a full four-piece band. With powerful acoustic arrangements, we turn classic floor-fillers into unique performances that’ll have everyone, from grandparents to grandchildren, singing along and dancing the night away.
Adaptable & Venue-Friendly
Our setup is designed to fit any space and event. We use digital foot drums instead of traditional kits, allowing us to stay within noise restrictions at venues without compromising on sound quality. No matter the setting, you can count on us to bring the same high-energy performance every time.

“We recently had Alex & Jon play the full day (and night) at our wedding and we are so glad we did! Alex and Jon were great to communicate with (even almost two years before the big day when we booked them). Everything was super easy to sort out and we never felt stressed out by the process. The guys were excellent and were happy to play all of the songs we requested (although we did just let them get on with it mostly because they definitely know what they’re doing)! Come our wedding day we knew we were in safe hands and that made our day that little less stressful. Alex and Jon moved around the venue with no fuss and added so much to our day. We will never forget them singing Rebekah down the aisle - definitely made that moment even more emotional than what it already was. “We booked them after seeing them on Instagram, they are local to ourselves so we have the pleasure of knowing they had performed at some of our associates’ weddings and everyone we spoke to couldn’t recommend them enough. Despite their name both Jon and Alex certainly aren’t Lazy, from the initial enquiry until they packed up on the evening of our wedding, and thereafter. They took full control of all our entertainment for our wedding and absolutely smashed it. Jon was very reassuring throughout, when I had loads of questions, he offered very good advice, we would communicate via WhatsApp and despite how busy they are he’d always get back to me straight away.
