This classical ballet double act gives a unique taste of the well-known ballet Swan Lake where the innocent White Swan meets the evil Black Swan. The dancers are graceful and elegant, their floating arms giving a beautiful impression of the swan’s delicate wings and they appear to drift effortlessly as they dance in classical pointe shoes. However, all is not perfectly calm and serene, as the Black Swan battles to overpower the White Swan.  As in the ballet where Odile tries to win the love of the Prince by posing as Odette through evil spells. The act becomes intensely dramatic and the pace picks up with leaps and pirouettes. The White Swan is trapped by the evil imposter and dances frantically to ward her off. But to no avail, the Black Swan appears to be winning with her hypnotising style and the White Swan only looks on helplessly.  However, all is not lost because good always overcomes evil, so finally the White Swan breaks the evil spell and the Black Swan’s powers are drained to leave her as a draggled heap of feathers.

The act can also be adapted into 2 white swans who dance in harmony and unison together for the entirety of the act which makes a beautiful, calm and easy to watch piece. The dancers’ sound technique and stunning artistry make them eye catching and giving the level performance you would expect to see at the theatre.
