As the daughter of a silhouettist, Taz has been immersed in the art of silhouette portraits her entire life. She started crafting her own silhouettes in 2011 while pursuing a degree in English Literature at Falmouth. For a brief period, she could be found selling her creations on sunny Saturdays in Falmouth's market square.
Today, Taz divides her time between Japan and the UK, building a career in Butoh dance, performance, and festival production. Silhouette cutting remains a significant and fascinating aspect of her work. She appeared in the TV documentary Silhouette Secrets, where she accompanied Charles to Houston to assist in the world silhouette speed-cutting contest. Taz can cut a cameo silhouette in approximately two minutes, with her background in performance enriching all her creations. She will bring great style and presence to your event.
