Description of the music and type of show
Eastern-European Jewish Balkan and Gypsy wedding music;

Mazel Tov play authentic acoustic klezmer and Balkan music including some Israeli favourites for Jewish weddings and barmitzvahs creating a fun exhilarating atmosphere perfect for circle line and free dancing.

Previous experience of members
Established in 2001, Mazel Tov have the experience of performing at hundreds of weddings barmitzvahs and parties. They boast an extensive repertoire of up to three 45-minute sets enabling an appropriate choice of music for any occasion.

As individuals the members have professional qualifications as graduates from London’s top universities and music colleges; the Royal Academy of Music Trinity College of Music City Goldsmiths SOAS and Middlesex universities.

Previous venues and clients
Mazel Tov have played at celebrity weddings including the civil partnership of Little Britain star Matt Lucas. As a Jewish wedding band they appeared on ITV’s sitcom Fat Friends. They have been booked to play at weddings as far-a-field as California.

In Europe they have performed in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and at festivals in Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic, Holland and Germany.

In the UK, Mazel Tov have played festivals such as Glastonbury, Edinburgh, Bath Broadstairs and Garsington. They performed a klezmer concerto with orchestra in the Queen Elizabeth Hall. As part of the Live Music Now! scheme Klezmer Band have led workshops and performed in hospitals special-needs schools day centres YOIs and prisons.
