Laura Robinson : vocals
Brought up listening to the great American songbook Laura’s jazz idols include Sinatra Peggy Ella and Nina. Eminent influences such as these together with more contemporary singers have all played a significant role in developing Laura’s intuitive style. Her inspired versatile and unparalleled approach has widely been acknowledged as beyond her years.

Having trained professionally at the London College of Music Laura’s involvements have included numerous recording sessions and she has performed at prestigious venues all over the UK such as the Nottingham Playhouse. With over eighteen years experience as a dancer and in addition to her current performing commitments she is also a trained singing teacher. With an urbane style of lead vocals and stage presence Laura fronts this outstanding collective of musicians.

Phil Street : keyboards & guitar
As a highly respected and skilled performer Phil is both the most experienced and multitalented member of the band. He began playing piano at the age of seven and has been performing live since the age of fifteen.

Over the years Phil has been involved in a wide variety of musical projects; ranging from duos & function bands to large 10-piece soul groups. He is also an accomplished guitarist bassist & drummer and provides essential harmonies on backing vocals wherever necessary. As well as having experience of performing overseas his broad session credits have ranged from pit work in the theatre to his involvements in recording music for soundtracks.

Simon Brown : bass guitar
Simon is an experienced pianist & bassist and has performed extensively across much of the UK southern Ireland & mainland Europe. He originally took up playing piano at the age of eight years old and began playing bass when he was fifteen. He read Music at The University of Nottingham and is currently attending Birmingham Conservatoire. Over the years he has been involved in a variety of projects including studio & television work.

Live performances have included those at the Albert Hall the West Yorkshire Playhouse and Ronnie Scott’s amongst many others. More recently Simon has performed double bass with the Nottingham Symphony Orchestra and still enjoys performing regularly whilst teaching piano and music theory.

Chris Livingstone : drums
Frequently sought after and always in demand Chris has long been established as one of the leading professional drummers in the Midlands. He also works as an instrumental teacher for the local education authority and is the author of a series of publications on instructional drumming material. He has many years of playing experience across a wide range of genres and has performed live all over the UK Europe and the US.

He remains actively involved in both performing and recording across many different projects whilst benefiting from an official endorsement from Roland UK. His commitment as a founding member of the band is a testament to the high quality of musicianship that you & your guests will experience…and no doubt remember for some time to come!
