About E Y Harp
"Simon and I would like to say a huge thank you for playing so beautifully during our ceremony. So many of our guests commented on how lovely the music was and what a fantastic musician you are. You really did provide a perfect accompaniment to the ceremony."

E Y Harp is in demand to play harps for people's special days and functions including weddings civil partnerships drinks receptions dinners corporate events funerals and memorial services. She has been playing harps at weddings and other events since 1993 at venues from the Tower of London English Heritage castles to Pinewood Studios and countless hotels and restaurants. She now mostly uses her elegant antique gilded pedal harp but alternatively sometimes plays her smaller celtic harp or her stunning blue electro-harp.

E Y Harp has an extensive and varied repertoire of light classical jazz standards and popular music and also has a large repertoire of atmospheric celtic and traditional music from around the British Isles. She can play a broad mixture of music to please a wide range of tastes. She enjoys helping people choose the music they want for their occasion and tailors the music to suit individual preferences emphasising the classical or popular side of her repertoire or playing mainly traditional music on her celtic harp for example for a family with Irish or Scottish connections. She can advise you on music that fits well for different situations. It may also be possible for her to add one or two new pieces to her repertoire for your occasion either from music or by ear from a recording.

E Y Harp can also sing at wedding ceremonies when requested
"Everybody I've spoken to since the wedding has commented on how wonderfully lovely your voice was.”
E Y Harp's training and experience as a music therapist alongside her background in playing tradtional as well as classical and popular music mean that she is is equally happy playing from music or by ear and often makes her own arrangements. She is also able to improvise and make spontaneous variations when appropriate fitting the music to the timing of the occasion and often getting positive feedback from clients, their guests and registrars when she does this.

“Fantastic Harpist who brings elegance, professionalism and sophistication to any event. She sang during the signing of the register and people had commented what a lovely voice she had, and thought it was a recording. Elizabeth played in the courtyard during canapes and this was both relaxing and uplifting and a wonderful setting. EY Harp provided everything we wanted at our event and more. The sound quality, professionalism and communication was great from the start to the very end.  Elizabeth was friendly, accommodating and approachable whilst remaining professional.  Fantastic performance.”
