Full Biography
The Clifton Quartet was launched in 2000. The four musicians – two Violins, Viola and ‘Cello are experienced professional musicians who have played together regularly for several years, as well as performing independently in various professional chamber and orchestral ensembles.
The quartet have played at a wide range of events and functions including naval dinners, weddings and birthday parties and have performed in venues ranging from stately buildings to marquees across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. Their repertoire is large and varied, and ranges from light classical, jazz standards and show tunes to the more serious quartet repertoire.
The quartet is especially experienced in providing the perfect music for wedding ceremonies, with a large selection of suitable arrangements, ranging from the traditional to the more unusual. They are often asked to provide music for guests both before and after the ceremony, as well as for the entrance of the bride and the signing of the register.
The quartet’s varied repertoire is very suitable for all kinds of events and they are able to adapt the music to fit your own requirements. They will also do their very best to find any ‘special requests’ you may have.
